Wichita Public Works Director Gary Janzen expanded on the earlier confirmation that the loss of water pressure and the ensuing boil advisory originated with a power outage at the city’s current water treatment plant. Janzen said the more-than-80-year-old plant was being powered with backup generators due to Tuesday night’s storms.
