People have been coming in droves for a chance to motor down Kansas’ brief portion of Route 66 — all 13.2 miles of it – and to experience Kansas places it’s made famous. Highlights include Luigi’s in Galena and munching on sandwiches at Nelson’s Riverton Store in Riverton. Some want to travel in the same tracks as that romance-loving-Robin Hoodesque-killing-machine-duo Bonnie and Clyde; or photograph themselves with the chrome-and-steel versions of the characters Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen from the animated movie “Cars.”
