A dispute between neighbors over a barbed wire fence may result in the removal of all barbed wire fencing in the city limits.
During the May 28 Marysville City Council meeting, Karen and Terry Hughes, Marysville, defended their right to keep their barbed wire fence despite repeated requests from neighbor Jill Friedrichs to have it removed.
Terry Hughes, who is a City Council member, said he had rectified the problem by removing the barbed wire fence adjacent to Friedrichs’ property. Friedrichs said she was not satisfied and she wanted all of the Hughes’ barbed wire fence removed because according to a city ordinance barbed wire fence is not allowed in town.
