SEDGWICK—“I thought it would be interesting.”
Eight years ago Zane Hansen had a tiny seed of interest that grew into a career that includes a full-time position in Newton and now the responsibilities of fire chief in Sedgwick.
Hansen worked in the aircraft industry when he started volunteering with the Sedgwick fire department in 2011.
“Just to get on you have to have an EMT,” Hansen said.
