LENEXA, Kan. —
The U-Haul Companies of southern Kansas and northern Kansas are offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents in and around Kansas City impacted by Tuesday night’s severe weather.

“The tornado was so large, it caused miles of destruction,” said Gary Wittkopp, president of U-Haul Company of Northern Kansas. “There are downed trees and power lines, and damaged homes. The impact has created a need for self-storage as our neighbors go through the clean-up process and require a place to bring their possessions. We want to help by offering one month of free self-storage to those in need.”
