The Brown County Commission voted Friday to move forward on an amended resolution pertaining to a special election for a proposed half-cent sales tax to benefit the Hiawatha Community Hospital.
The vote came after much discussion between the commissioners and members of the Hospital Joint Advisory Committee, along with John Broberg, interim CEO of the Hiawatha Community Hospital.
The language of the Resolution NO. 19-0, which the commission unanimously approved, reads as follows:
