Former Towanda utility clerk sentenced to more than 10 years for misusing public funds

The former utility clerk for the City of Towanda receives a sentence of 10 years, eight months in prison in connection with the theft of more than $186,000 from the city.

The sentencing against Ricky Allen Voisin in Butler County District Court follows his guilty pleas of misuse of public funds and making false information. Last August, court documents showed Voison faced four charges including theft, misuse of public funds, a computer crime and making false information.
