A new transit could be coming to Salina that will make traveling to Manhattan and other communities more cost efficient. “I go to Manhattan probably every weekend, especially in the Fall,” Kansas State Salina student Joseph Morse said. “I buy a football pass and hang with friends.” But he said those weekend trips can be pricey. “It’s not fun paying for gas all the time,” Morse said. Later this year, the North Central Kansas Coordinated Transit, along with the Kansas Department of Transportation and other partners said there could be another travel option. “We’re working on getting a route that goes from Salina to Manhattan,” Claire Mullen with the North Central Kansas Coordinated Transit said. “Monday through Friday, possibly four round trips a day.”
