Some crosswalks in Wichita are getting a face-lift costing the city money and time now, but will save them thousands in the future.
The bricks at the intersection of Meridian and McCormick have been laid for nearly 20 years. But the city hopes with the new project, the crosswalks will last much longer.
Steve Degenhardt is the Wichita Construction Manager and he says the city will, “replace the brick crosswalks that have become deteriorated over time. Going back with colored and stamped concrete that will mirror the brick pattern but also provide a lot more durability than the bricks will.”
