Marysville City Council plans to vote at its July 22 meeting on a proposed ordinance to allow Sunday liquor sales in Marysville.
The council discussed expanding hours at its July 8 meeting after learning that the city’s current ordinance doesn’t comply with state law, which requires cities to have Sunday sales if they allow liquor to be sold on holidays.
Currently Marysville was only allowing sales at liquor stores Monday through Saturday and on Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day, but not on Sundays.
