If you’ve been in downtown Wichita this week, you’ve probably seen one of the new electric scooters that just arrived in town.

They’re pretty easy to spot.

You may have seen a lot of people riding them on the sidewalk, but according to the city ordinance, they can only “operate on bike paths and roadways posted 40 mph or less.”

Timrie Shelby and her daughter, Abbey Morgan, spent the morning enjoying the scooters. They used them to deliver free food to locations all over downtown.

They say riding them on the streets can be a little scary, but you have to pay attention.
