Soon after the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that it was relocating more than 500 jobs to the Kansas City area, the questions about where in the metro area the jobs would land began.

With speculation rampant, the Kansas City Business Journal began to look — and ask — around about the most likely locations for the new office based on what we know about the selection process.

Here’s a look at the three properties (in no particular order) that can accommodate the USDA’s need for 120,000 square feet of Class A office space by the Sept. 30 deadline:
