ERIE – Residents and landowners who do not have leases with Neosho Ridge Wind roasted commissioners Thursday night who approved agreements last week for the project.

“Gave it to us good, didn’t you, Mrs. Klaassen?” Kim Norris said, addressing Commissioner Gail Klaassen. “You fooled us all and you have deeply disappointed all of us.”

“Congratulations to the two commissioners who voted for the wind energy travesty,” Ed Spielbusch said. “It is completely mind-boggling to me that you are able to vote this project in.”

Opponents continued to seek a moratorium on wind projects, and Commissioner Paul Westhoff made a motion for one. After receiving a second, the commission considered tabling it, then voted it down.
