An ordinance subjecting mobile/manufactured homeowners to more strict guidelines will be under consideration at the Scott City Council meeting on Mon., May 6. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Under the proposal, any time a mobile home is relocated within the city, or if there is a change of utility hookups or ownership, it will be subject to inspection by the city’s building inspector. The inspector will also have the authority to conduct annual inspections at any time he determines the “health, safety and welfare” of a resident could be at risk. No structure deemed to be uninhabitable shall be allowed to remain within the city.
