A total of 122 designs were submitted for the Manhattan City Flag Contest by the March 29 deadline. The City of Manhattan’s Arts and Humanities Advisory Board is currently reviewing the artwork and will select three to five finalists based on the Five Principals of Flag Design, as outlined by the American Vexillogical Society https://nava.org/good-flag-bad-flag/.
In early to mid-May, the final designs will be presented to the public for a one-week voting period through the City’s website www.cityofmhk.com and in person at City Hall 1101 Poyntz Avenue.
