The Osawatomie Police Department was one of only 30 police departments across the state that qualified for a AAA Kansas Community Traffic Safety Award in 2018.
Bob Hamilton, law enforcement liaison for the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), delivered that message to the City Council on Thursday, March 14, as he presented the award to Police Chief Dave Ellis and Cpl. John Mann during the council’s meeting at Memorial Hall. It marked the second consecutive year the police department received a AAA award.
