The Sedgwick County treasurer’s office is aiming for a December opening for its new Wichita tag office that will replace all satellite offices, including Derby’s.
“Though we still do not have a firm date, we are looking at the first week in December,” said Randy Bargdill, chief deputy treasurer.
When the Derby Informer first broke the news of where the new tag office would be situated, the treasurer’s office expected it to open in June or July. Work remodeling the former Ultra Modern Pool and Patio building at East Kellogg and Edgemoor took longer than expected because Ultra Modern didn’t move out as soon as anticipated.
