Shawnee Heights Unified School District 450 board members on Monday approved a $29,548 change order for Kelley Construction to continue work on a new bus barn. However, they weren’t happy about it. Many felt the district was having to pay for a miscalculation Shawnee County made when it installed a new culvert along the east side of S.E. Shawnee Heights Road to allow better drainage to Lake Jivaro. Part of that work diverted water into the district’s drainage basin.
