According to The Mulvane News, the City of Mulvane received $155,051.97 from the Kansas Lottery Commission, which represents a 1 percent share of August’s gaming revenue.
The contract between the casino and the Kansas Lottery calls for the return of 1 percent of each month’s gaming revenue to the City of Mulvane, and to both Sumner and Sedgwick counties.
So far this year, Mulvane’s 1 percent share amounts to $1,233,106.79, which is more than 72% of the budgeted amount, according to The Mulvane News.
