McPherson residents are renewing a push to allow liquor sales on Sundays.
Stores like Dotties Girls are closed on Sundays meaning McPherson residents have to drive out of town just to get alcohol, something the owners hope changes soon
“There is so many people that have it, canton, Lindsborg, Salina, so we figured why not here in McPherson.”
Rhonda Boyston and Amy Russell own Dottie’s Girls Liquor Store in McPherson. They’ve been pushing for Sunday sales for a while now, something they say is long over due.
Mcpherson is one of the few cities in Kansas that does not have sales on Sunday following a law change in 2004 which lets cities decide if they can sell alcohol.
