A Utah man was hired on Monday as Belleville’s newest city manager.
Adam Anderson of Sandy City Utah was officially announced as the city manager at Monday’s meeting of the Belleville City Council. City leaders were unanimous in their hiring of Anderson.

While this is Anderson’s first job as a city manager, he comes from an extensive background in municipality work, according to Belleville Mayor Kim Lapo.
“We’re very excited to have him here,” she told the Telescope.
“Adam has more than 10 years experience working in local government administration ,” Lapo said. “He has an emphasis on budget, policy and strategic planning.” Anderson comes to Belleville holding an MPA degree from the George W. Romney Institute of Brigham Young University. He has worked extensively under several city manager type governments, Lapo said. Anderson was one of 14 applicants for the vacant Belleville job.
