The City of Roeland Park and Johnson County Parks and Recreation Department have had a long-standing joint-funding agreement in regards to the operation of the Roeland Park Aquatic Center. The interlocal agreement expires in May of 2019, and in preparation, the City of Roeland Park has begun an operational study to determine the long-term needs and options for the Roeland Park Aquatic Center.
The study consists of evaluation of the physical condition, operability of its systems and structures, market, participation and program analysis, options for long term operations and community input.
Hearing from the community of Roeland Park and users of swimming facilities is a crucial and important element of the study. Understanding the swimming needs and priorities of the Roeland Park community is how we will best be able to continue to offer the services most valued.
The Roeland Park Aquatic Center survey was designed to understand your household and its swimming needs, what you look for in aquatic facilities, how you use them and what your feedback is on the existing Roeland Park Aquatic Center. Your feedback will be used in the operational study and long-term pool planning.
