Walter Johnson Stadium in Humboldt will host its annual vintage baseball game at 1 pm Saturday.
The Topeka Westerns will play the Branson Boomers, and festivities begin at 11 am with players warm-up and a display of antique cars at Humboldt City Square Park.
Players will ride in the cars at noon to the stadium for a hot dog feed. The National Anthem will play and the game will start at 1 pm Saturday.
B&W Trailer Hitches will sponsor the Branson Boomers and Monarch Cement Co. will sponsor the Topeka Westerns.
Monarch office manager Tessa Morris said the stadium has hosted vintage games for several years, and Monarch is involved through the Monarch Academic Achievement Scholarship. Admission to the game is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the stadium and proceeds will go to the scholarship.
The game will follow 1860 rules for baseball. For example, if a batter hits to the field, he is still out if the ball bounces before it is caught.
Morris said programs given out at the game will display the vintage rules.
