Beginning Monday, the Ellis County Road and Bridge and Noxious Weed departments will begin implementing a four days per week, 10 hours per day work schedule.
Public Works Department Administrative Manager Rick Rupp said, “During the duration of this summer schedule our work days will be from Monday through Thursday each week and our work day will commence at 7 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.”
The one exception will be the work week of July 2 to July 6. The department will go back to a five-day work week because the Fourth of July holiday will be observed on Wednesday, July 4.
The changes will continue through Aug. 30.
