Monday’s City Council meeting
Police officers and firefighters attended Monday’s Augusta City Council meeting to watch Robert Sage take the official oath of office as the new Director of Public Safety for the City of Augusta.
Sage has more than 30 years experience and is replacing Tyler Brewer who retired last October.
Following the ceremony Chief Sage shared that he had started his career in public service at 13, when he became a junior firefighter with the Augusta Department of Safety, and that he is looking forward to leading the department.
